Problems we intend to solve or the preferred state we wish to accomplish:
The problem we intend to solve is the lack of focus and energy being put into the important issues that are responsible for producing a healthy, sustainable and abundant planet.
There is enormous focus on ‘money making schemes’, alcohol, unhealthy food, high sugar drinks, looking good, automobiles and real estate.
There is enormous focus on “what’s wrong” around the planet and
it’s streamed into every household via the NEWS. Bucky said this keeps people discontented and in fear.
Families and communities are fragmented; ill health is out of control, unethical businesses are making lots of money while destroying the environment and big business corruption and greed continues.
The giants of the food industry, led by fast food and beverage companies spend billions of dollars each year to maintain their position, and influence their clients (many being children).
McDonald’s restaurant chain and Coca Cola top the list spending in excess of $2billion each per year (c2006 figures).
Multinational businesses have enormous leverage not available to the independent business person, group, or organisation.
The diversity that existed in communities is disappearing and along with it the uniqueness and the culture of their regions.
The preferred state we intend to achieve is one where individuals, businesses, clubs and organisations are able to pursue their passion and / or their business, or what they see needs to be done and do so in a co-operative manner with likeminded people. The context will be abundance, not scarcity.
Our focus and energy will on promoting culture, the arts, on being human, health and wellness, ‘green business’ and sustainability. We will highlight all the wonderful artefacts and people who are transforming our planet.
Our Solution and Plan to implement it:
We have created an artefact in the form of a member’s club and internet directory known as Your Healthy Planet.com. It provides a structure for individuals, businesses, clubs and organisations to work together and benefit from the synergy of their diversity and the common goals of health and sustainability.
Each member or ‘stakeholder’ can advertise who they are or what they do, focusing on the “healthy, green and sustainable aspects” of what they do (or propose to do), or what their products or services do, and benefits from the synergy and the leverage that is developed.
Members will be encouraged to trade with each other through an ethical marketplace or ‘green eBay’ which will also be available to the public. Members may offer ‘member discounts’ to other members.
Advertising on the directory and access to the ethical marketplace are member benefits.
Other proposed member benefits include:
1. forums or chat room
2. activities
3. healthy recipes
4. ethical finance
5. resorts, and more.
Membership starts at $30 per month. This is a similar cost to a ‘line-advertisement’ in a local newspaper. Your Healthy Planet.com must be affordable to everyone.
We have incorporated a network marketing plan similar to one of the leading nutrition companies who have been successfully doing business internationally for over 20 years.
Over 65% of advertising revenue is returned to the members who help sell memberships and help grow Your Healthy Planet.com. Twenty percent of revenue is pooled into an advertising and marketing fund promoting health and sustainability.
All profits from Your Healthy Planet go into a proposed Sustainable Children’s Foundation and will be used to build Living Institutes, practical, hands on education facilities teaching Bucky’s principals and other healthy, green and sustainable practices.
Robert Kiyosaki once said “If you’re not leveraged, you will work harder and harder, for less and less money.”
By helping sell three memberships my membership subscription (and my advertising) is effectively free. I can also help others sell memberships and be further rewarded and develop a passive income stream that can be used to employ staff, grow my business or even perhaps, reduce my prices.
To remain eligible to receive ongoing ‘royalty income’ I must personally attract two new members each calendar year, attract one new member and purchase $500 worth of products or services through the ethical marketplace, or make $1000 worth of purchases in a calendar year.
Referral and royalty income is currently capped at around $22,000 per month via a 3 * 9 matrix. Once we achieve our first year’s goal of 30,000 members the marketing plan may be broadened.
Bucky said inflation was anti-evolutionary, and that prices should never go up. Prices should come down … perhaps that could happen.
Most businesses, clubs and groups already advertise to some extent to obtain clients, customers, members or donations.
Your Healthy Planet.com encourages them to focus on the healthy, ‘green’ and sustainable components of what they do and promote that, so the trim tab effect is a shift in focus, not necessarily a shift in what they do or sell.
There is a very broad range of categories covering most industries, and it is up to the member to describe what is healthy, green and / or sustainable about their product or service and it’s up to the marketplace to decide whether they will purchase.
There are some restrictions proposed on industries such as adult entertainment, tobacco, weaponry, pharmaceuticals and some alcoholic beverages.
We believe a shift to healthier, greener and more sustainable products and services will occur and will help accelerate the necessary growth and development of wellness and sustainability, and help cause the design revolution Bucky proposed.
A feedback system (similar to eBay) will provide ongoing monitoring of members products and services by other members, and members of the public.
Members advertising on the directory and participating in the ethical marketplace will have websites, and these can be vetted cost effectively by Your Healthy Planet.com to help maintain integrity.
How we will finance our solution and make it economically viable.
Our existing website and directory (www.yourhealthyplanet.com) is a prototype, being used to attract 3630 Founding Members who invest $3 towards planting a tree, and at the same time secure their place as a Founding Member of Your Healthy Planet. We intend to complete this by December 30, 2007.
We will then invite them all to subscribe and assuming 80% precede we will have a cash-flow of ninety to one hundred thousand dollars per month and growing.
Twenty percent of all membership subscriptions are pooled together to advertise and promote all aspects of health and sustainability, and promote healthy, green and sustainable events.
Our 12 month goal is 30,000 members and be investing around $200,000 per month in advertising and marketing. Our 5 year goal is 5 million members and an advertising budget of around $360 million per year.
We’ve had discussions with The Momentum Group (www.tmg5.com) a leading web design company in Tennessee USA, who specialise in network marketing. They required a $20,000 initial payment to proceed to the design phase. They also provide a Charter Program to build sales revenue to accelerate the growth of Your Healthy Planet.com.
100% of profit plus any member tithing will go into supporting the construction of “Living Institutes” via our proposed Sustainable Children’s Foundation, a not for profit educational enterprise.
An opportunity has arisen in the Tweed Valley region of Northern NSW to acquire an existing permaculture farm designed and built by the Co-Founder of Permaculture in Australia Mr Bill Mollison.
Substantial government, local government and private industry support may be available to turn this 160 acre property into a world class education facility given the current drought and energy debate in Australia.
When one Living Institute is operating successfully we propose to develop others where the greatest need is. In some cases this may be a joint effort with an existing facility in need of financial or technical support.
Who will take our solution to the next stage of development?
We have now started to market Your Healthy Planet.com to ethical businesses in northern NSW and have had a number of businesses register from Canada and United States via the internet. Whilst word of mouth is definitely the number one tactic that we encourage our members to employ, marketing via the internet is cost effective.
Our team is currently ninety five percent Alex and Helen Sprunt, with some financial support from Barry Haynes (businessman and investor), some legal support from our local solicitor and community advisor and also technical advice and support for our first Living Institute from Geoff Lawton, CEO of Permaculture Research Institute.
A joint venture broker in BC, Canada has already advised he has over 3000 ‘healthy businesses’ that would be interested in joining Your Healthy Planet.com.
The existing ‘prototype’ website and directory will help register Founding Members and provide the momentum needed to complete the new website, directory and ‘green’ marketplace. We will approach The Momentum Group again and other IT companies.
We believe that the re-development of the website can be handled by many companies. We are also in communication with a number of other potential joint venture partners and are keen to work with aligned partners.
