Interdependent Ecological Cluster in Production

Purpose is to create a community & social system which has its own economic base created by harnessing neutral energy.Vegetation is introduced to the land (Fig 1 & 2)which goes through a harvesting process and finally manufactures herbal beverages & essential oil for the community: river water is purified, supplied to the proposal & community. Rain water is harnessed to produce beverages & essential oil (Fig 2,3,4,5)Natural resources are extracted and given back to the earth. An agri-culture is introduced
to the context where people are spontaneously involved in the production of their own beverage for their sustenance while helping one another in producing beverage in a global level.(Fig 1)The region gets a financial benefit when flowers,apples, honey is supplied to the managing agent of the region and he supplies the resources to the main square,obtains a financial benefit to run the region.The food they grow is for their consumption and as well for the local & global consumption as trade is also incorporated in the proposal-Sense of humanity.(Fig 1) The Architectural & Agri-cultural intervention responds to the five sensory experience of a person:visual,audible,tactile,smell,taste which develops in to a therapeutic psychological experience.(Fig 3 & 4) Making biological oil from spirulina is a known fact but creating agri-architectural steam cluster is whats in the proposal (Fig 5),existing technology integrated architecturally: Honey extractor while extracting honey extracts hot air(Fig4) Urban food growing , producing in the architecture, harnessing with neutral energy can be disseminated through out the world.The proposal which is made out of recyclable plastic modules as a whole or in segments,has the potential to be in production of beverages even during transportation from one country to another.(from existing site to the port dismantled modules will be transported by public transport)When the ecological ship docks in to another port (the scheme can adapt to different strategies when manufacturing beverages during transportation by ship eg. harness using stored rain water, could be fixed to a pontoon,pumped sea water to the rainwater scoops)at the port if there is an similar ecological cluster proposal there could be global trade exchanging the goods produced.

Describe the critical need your solution addresses.

Currently the author is applying for possibilities in doing research in “Ecological cluster in production” where she will be closely researching in to this concept, which would germinate the knowledge to implement the proposal in any part of the world creating a spontaneous culture.

The author aims to work closely with an educational institution which closely works on Architecture & Engineering.While the author involves in her research she would like
to involve other students in the higher education sector to participate in the project by setting out small projects within regions.Eg:The author will research & design the main mother project in the core.Part of this is already done.Its a Marigold community pod.[Fig 1&2] The architectonics would influence other students to work on other infrastructure in all the other regions that the author has already set out in the master plan[Fig1]
Design & Build together the production drawings, for implementation .When executing on site secondary school children /general community will be involved in the programme with the contractor team.Eg getting them to draw the process, while the programme is going on at out door art class,helping the horticulture team.

The above is the main plan for the proposal. Prize money will be invested on doing research over the 3 years.In the first three years the author intends to,
i)Do research in to Interdependent Ecological cluster in production in a University where she is in the process of applying.Develop the design & detail the masterplan [Fig1]
ii)Develop further the design of the Marigold community pod[Fig 2-5]Produce working drawings of the Marigold/school community pod.
iii) Detail as how the mother project which the author develops in the 3 years up to Production dwgs, could be programmed for teaching the students at higher education level to organize a design & build community method.

Explain your initiative in more depth and its stage of development.

Comprehensive:
The proposal solves all the needs that is outlined in the competition except communication & media.

Anticipatory:
Producing beverages, essential oil etc from a natural plant & incorporating to the architecture as an apparatus, creating agricultural regions which work interdependently, even during transportation by ship could be a trend.

Ecologically responsible:
Neutral energy used and harnessed in the project .

Feasible:
Author-technology means, a system that runs through the hardware.
Urban food production is a existing system, in this proposal it is further develop to work as a interdependent ecological cluster for the benefit of the environment and human beings in any context.
Sun ovens, rainwater, honey extractor are existing systems further designed
to be more energy efficient.

Verifiable: As the ecological cluster system works interdependently it could withstand to any force/s

Replicable:
The concept can be implemented at any scale from micro to macro,can adapt to different programmes.

How does your strategy and approach respond creatively and comprehensively to key issues?

I have obtained the Royal Institute of British architects /Architects Registration board
Part 1 & Part 2 in Architecture.Currently enrolled for the Part 3 course which is Professional practice,management & law in architecture at the university of Brighton UK.
In the meantime I am interested in going in the academic route.Therefore I am in the process of applying to do research in the theme “ Ecological cluster in Production” in
a University.
The project which is submitted as a competition entry is a project done separately to the academic programme at the University.The project is based on a general Site given by the University while studying for part 2 .This scheme was designed due to the keen interest on the above theme.But this is not her Part 2 Proposal.It was only the site which belong to that era.the author Developed her scheme without any academic support but has a strong believe that it works for the future.
When the author begins her research , she would implement a design and build with the community strategy in conjunction with a University, where she will be selected to do research.
