Algae Sustainability Project

Ray Schiel John Miller Rick Blanc

Our mission is making oil drilling, oil exploration and coal plants financially unfeasible by creating successful and sustainable algae economies. The ASP project promotes: bio-fuel, fertilizer, cattle feed, medical grade components and plastics, all from algae. We do this by: 1. Acquiring, developing and applying data sets based on parameters deemed critical to the successful development of Algae, i.e. (Geographic Location, Elevation, Temperature, Co2 Source, availability of a Waste Source,
Access to Transportation / Distribution, Demand, Price and Availability of Land, Cost of Development, Availability of Clean Water, Employment, Access to Education, and Government Subsidies). 2. Utilizing a highly advanced mapping and collaborative program, WebStudio, to combine the data sets and determine the most viable geographical area for an algae for fuel facility. WebStudio provides real time visual environments that provide community leaders, investors and developers an opportunity to collaborate. Strategic modules within the WebStudio suite include: Web-Presenter Used to provide maps, images, video, audio, and data collected from other programs enabling multiple users to collaborate in a shared environment. Web-Surveyor Used to measure plot parameters, wind speeds, temperatures, ambient air pollution and climate conditions. This gives us the ability to inject data from external sources and incorporate the information with custom aerial photos in the program. 3. Develop models based on existing proven technology By determining the most viable area for an algae for fuel facility, the project will bring opportunity for communities to positively impact there economy and reduce their carbon footprint. In an NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) study, www.nrel.gov/docs/legosti/fy98/24190.pdf it was determined that 15,000 square miles of land would produce all of the fuel necessary for the entire United States. Our project will facilitate this goal by identifying pollution reduction. Our breakthrough comes from combining highly advanced technology with effective data which identifies key locations for the propagation of high yields of algae.

eiProject and LiveMaps team bring an array of programming and management skills. The integration of both hardware and software maintains industry standards.

Algae Sustainability Project (ASP) software include creating a virtual dashboard to control and monitor equipment for weather conditions, water temperatures, wind speed and security.

John Miller, the Founder and CEO of ALG BioFuels Inc., has over
1000 + hours of research experience in ASP. He also has 5+ years experience of complex land valuation, research analysis of the highest and best use. John was Systems Analyst for Bendall & Associates. He was responsible for development, implementation of complex manufacturing processors including: Heaters, Dryers, Spray Booths, and Conveyor systems. Clients include: Blackhawk Furniture, Easton Manufacturing and McConnell Cabinets.

A proven innovator and leader, John has the ability to bring multiple parties together to accomplish a goal. He is currently working on a complex valuation and inventory of all available mitigation land in the Mojave Desert in conjunction with the California Dept. of Fish and Game.

Explain your initiative in more depth and its stage of development.

The ASP (Algae Sustainability Project) meets the challenge by developing alternative sources of clean energy while creating jobs in self-sustaining communities eliminates:

• increased fuel prices due to reliance on foreign oil
• job outsourcing
• environmental threats – mainly, removing Co2

The process increases:

• education in: land use, cultivating skills and management
• economic freedom
• energy in places that have historically been wastelands
• the production of duplicating several model types

Utilizing numerous studies, including: PetroSun, Portland General Electric and the U.S. Department of Energy’s Aquatic Species Program, "Bio-diesel from Algae," ASP validates as technically feasible and produces a sound business model.

WebStudio constitutes a wide range instruction, analysis and real time collaboration tools within a user-friendly environment. In-depth analysis, screening and case study reports can be produced/shared online, all within a secure broadcasting channel.

The Algae Sustainability Project offers pre-fabricated models built around a set of known conditions. Though each install is different, a standard set of configurations provides the initial start point to assess cost and requirements.

How does your strategy and approach respond creatively and comprehensively to key issues?

eiProject and LiveMaps team bring an array of programming and management skills to this project including the integration of both hardware and software that adheres to best practices and proven methodologies within the framework of research, development and industry standards.

Pertinent capabilities to Algae Sustainability Project (ASP) include creating a virtual dashboard for any given equipment they are allowed to monitor and control. The team has also produced a framework which allows the monitoring of: weather conditions, wind speeds and maintain security.
