Selection process
A panel of internationally renowned jurors will select the winner of The Buckminster Fuller Challenge.

Entries will be subject to a preliminary screening for compliance with eligibility and entry requirements. A team of three distinguished advisors [pdf 89k], each of whom have a deep knowledge of Fuller’s work and the approach to problem-solving he termed design science, will review submissions for compliance with the entry criteria and select a pool of no more than 50 submissions of outstanding quality to send to the jury.

Finalists will be interviewed and a winner will be announced by the jury.

The decision of The Buckminster Fuller Challenge jury is final. The Buckminster Fuller Institute reserves the right to withhold the conferring of the prize if, at the recommendation of the jury, it concludes that none of the submissions to The Buckminster Fuller Challenge in this year adequately meet the criteria.
